Egy tolatós tehervonat ok nélkül nyilván nem megy sehová, mégsem könnyű ebben a szó legjobb értelmében vett falusi környezetben az ipart, főleg a vegyipart elképzelni. A világvégi vicinális hangulatát keltő romhányi vonalon fénykorában naponta kétszer fordult a tehervonat, mind a négy állomásán volt teherforgalom. Ma már csak a tolmácsi Erdőkémia és a romhányi csempegyár működik, egyelőre kitartanak a vasút mellett.

Obviously, a shunting freight train doesn’t go anywhere without a good reason but in this peaceful rural area it is hard to imagine the industry, especially the chemical industry. The vicinal Romhany line feels to be the end of the world, however, in the prospering times freight trains ran twice a day, all four stations had freight traffic. Today only the Erdokemia factory in Tolmacs and the tile factory in Romhany are working, still needing the railway.

Kein Zweifel, Rangiergüterzüge fahren nirgendshin ohne einen guten Grund, aber in dieser ruhigen ländlichen Gegend ist es schwer die Industrie, insbesondere der chemischen Industrie vorzustellen. Die Sekundärbahn nach Romhány fühlt sich als das Ende der Welt, doch in der prosperierenden Zeiten haben Güterzüge zweimal am Tag gefahren, alle vier Bahnhöfe hatten Güterverkehr. Heute nur die Erdokemia Werk in Tolmács und die Fliesenfabrik in Romhány arbeiten, brauchend immer noch die Eisenbahn.
